Richard Conyard (about me)
My name should be fairly obvious since it is plastered all over this site, but who am I?
I'm in my early 30s and spend most of my waking time at Red Ant where I am the Technical Director. When I am not at work or sleeping I can often be found in Drakes generally unwinding or staring into space thinking about the next big idea. I've been working / playing with the Internet since the early 90s and I'm getting far too worried that half my life seems to have revolved around it.
I'm fortunate that for the most part my job and interests co-exist; over the past few years I have become interested in web standards adherence and advocacy and where the web is going (not just in terms of funky functionality, but also getting their from solid foundations). I love number theory (however I tend to avoid it since going that deep into thought leaves me completely anti-social), and the concepts and processes behind managing complexity.
Outside of the geeky stuff I follow Tottenham Hotspur football club as an armchair fan, Wales and the Scarlets rugby teams and the 49ers American Football team (a throw back to my first trip to the states and my playing days at university).
